Raids in preparation
After the success of the 5th raid Aubanel, which brought together 400 competitors, our team is already working on preparations for the 6th edition, which should take place Sunday, April 26, 2009. Meanwhile, we remain hopeful that we will one day be possible to reactivate the Raid on Lez, we have put on stand by after the 9th version in October 2003. Contacts are being made with various officials of local clubs, concerned by the activities directly related to Lez and the overall situation is always the same: everyone who participated, attended or worked at the original dream of Raid see reborn!

Canoesud consists of the Canoës d'Aubanel and Canoës le Moulin bases (belonging to the “Rivières de France” group).

Based in the heart of the Hérault gorges, about 30 minutes from Montpellier, we offer access to an area of outstanding unspoilt natural beauty.

An exceptional site, where the pure water of the Hérault river travels through sun kissed gorges and meanders through vineyards before flowing into the sea in the Grau d'Agde.

Come and park at the Aubanel arrival base (Shaded car parking available in over two hectors of land bordering the river , toilets, showers, refreshments). A minibus transfer takes place at the beginning which will allow you to enjoy the decent at your own pace without time restraints and without having to wait for a return transfer.
After your descent you will immediately have your car and possessions available and then will have the opportunity to further enjoy the beauty of the site.

Canoës d'Aubanel :
  • Arrival area :
    Shaded Parking, drinks, ice creams, showers and toilets. Possibility to arrange bivouacs and BBQ's...
    Two hectares of tranquil meadow bordering the river.

    Canoës le Moulin :
  • St Bauzille :
    Departure area for the 9 km descent. Drinks and ice creams available from a quaint terrace overlooking the river and private beach; toilets available.
  • Laroque :
    Departure area for 3 km and 12 km descents, drinks and toilet available.
